These are all words that our guests use to describe their experience at Cornerstone.
If you come as a guest to our worship service, you will likely experience a church service like you have not experienced before. Our worship service begins at 10:00 with a time of welcome and prayer by our Staff. Then we enjoy a time of worship consisting of singing and devotion.This time is led by our worship team. As a guest, you should feel free to participate in a way that is most comfortable to you. The music style is a Contemporary Christian style and all of the lyrics are projected onto a screen. Occasionally we use videos to accentuate the worship time.
After the music portion of our worship service, our pastor will explain passages of Scripture alongside a topic centered around life challenging situations, and help us draw relevant applications to our lives. Scriptures are also on the screen. Outlines of the message are provided and powerpoint is used to show relevant points and to show Scriptures that are referenced in the message. This portion of the service is concluded with a time of prayer and commitment led by our pastor. He will ask some rhetorical and thought provoking questions in order to help people understand God's meaning and purpose for the message. A song will conclude oour service as worship to our Lord.
After the service, refreshments are provided and you will notice that most people "hang out" to get to know one another and catch up on the week's events. The service is usually lasts about an hour, but you can stay as long as you like afterwards. The pastor and staff are available before and after the service for those who desire to speak with them about personal matters.
