OUR STORY
Cornerstone Church started in the mind of God and in the heart of Pastor Alex True. In June 2000, Alex and his wife Sarah launched Cornerstone Church with just 4 other people. After much praying and planning, they rented a small conference room on the campus of the State University of New York College at Brockport. God truly blessed as 17 new people attended the first worship gathering on Sunday, June 11, 2000, and 3 of those people made a profession of faith and invited Jesus Christ into their lives! In August 2000, the congregation moved into a former karate studio in the heart of downtown Brockport. In February 2005 the church relocated again to the Arnold Gregory Complex in Albion, New York. By God’s grace, in the Spring of 2009, Cornerstone purchased and renovated the building and property of the former St. Rocco’s Church on Hulberton Road. The congregation held its first worship gathering in its own church facility on Sunday, April 5, 2009 with 123 in attendance. Cornerstone celebrated 10 years of life-changing ministry on June 11, 2010. Many people have been introduced to Jesus Christ, many Christians have been baptized, and many lives have been changed as a result of what God has accomplished through Cornerstone. As we begin our second decade, Cornerstone Church continues to focus on the relentless pursuit of a singular mission: to provide every man, woman, and child in our area with repeated opportunities to begin a relationship with Jesus and to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We truly believe the best is yet to come. Join us for the journey!
